Interfaith Pilgrimages and Spiritual Travel
We are pleased to announce two opportunities for interfaith pilgrimage!
1. "Interfaith Immersion: An Urban Pilgrimage", June 25-28, 2020 in Chicago. Led by Drs. Banashak and Lundy, we'll visit various holy houses, share meals and sacred space with seekers of many traditions, all the while learning what it means to be an interfaith/interspiritual person today in a changing world. In keeping with the true spirit of pilgrimage, we may take moderate walks to some sites in the city, engage in contemplative practices together, and adopt a reflective mindset and heartspace for this journey. Open to all individuals, not just SGTI students. (Postponed due to Covid-19.)

2. The only one of its kind in the U.S - in Colorado! Under new leadership, the Camino de Crestone offers a week of meaning-making, seeking truth and freedom, and direct experience in religious and spiritual sites. We encourage you to visit their website to look at the current schedule. http://www.caminodecrestone.com/index.htm.
Dr. Jeanette Banashak leads our SGTI pilgrimages. In addition to having visited 28 countries, she has led or co-led 13 international service-justice learning and study abroad trips with high schoolers, college students, and adults to countries such as Spain, Nepal, Israel, Ecuador, and Germany. She is bilingual, Spanish/English. She is also the author of the book, The Mindful Pilgrimage: A 40-Day Pocket Devotional for Pilgrims of Any Faith or None. With a heart and mind for sacred journeys, Jeanette is excited about offering pilgrimages with The Spiritual Guidance Training Institute.
